Our Story
Corium Leather Works began as more than just a business—it’s the culmination of a deeply rooted family tradition and a personal journey of passion, craftsmanship, and love. For me, working with leather was never just a skill I learned; it was a legacy passed down through generations, woven into the fabric of my life. Growing up in Central America in the late 1990s and early 2000s, my family was known as leather shoe makers, dedicated to crafting shoes that not only lasted but became part of the wearer’s life story. I watched as my family poured their heart and soul into every pair, each stitch a mark of pride, every piece of leather selected with care.
As a young boy, I was fascinated by the process. The smell of freshly tanned leather, the rhythmic hum of the machines, and the steady, skillful hands of my parents and relatives as they brought each creation to life—it all captivated me. But it wasn’t shoes that called to me; it was something simpler, something closer to the heart. I started making wallets—small, personal, intimate pieces that people would carry with them every day, holding not just their belongings but their memories.
It started innocently, crafting wallets for friends and family as gifts, each one carefully stitched by hand with the hope that it would become a part of their lives. What I didn’t expect was the incredible impact these small acts of craftsmanship would have. Years passed, and those same friends and family members would return to me, pulling out their wallets—still intact, still beautiful, and most importantly, still cherished. Each time I saw one of my creations worn by time but standing strong, I felt a surge of pride and fulfillment. Those wallets were a testament to the enduring power of quality and love.
Those moments lit a fire inside me. It was more than just leatherwork; it was about creating something lasting, something that could accompany someone through life’s journeys. I realized that this passion was something I needed to share with the world.
With my wife by my side, we founded **Corium Leather Works** in Central Florida, a place where tradition meets innovation. Together, we’ve embraced the lessons passed down from my family, while blending it with modern precision techniques to create wallets that stand the test of time. Every piece we make is stitched by hand, with the same dedication and attention to detail that I learned as a boy. We combine this with the precision of specialty lasers to cut each component perfectly, ensuring every wallet is a work of art that’s as durable as it is beautiful.
This isn’t just a business for us—it’s a partnership, a journey, and a way of life. My wife and I work side by side, driven by the same passion for craftsmanship and the belief that quality matters. We are proud to be carrying on my family’s legacy, infusing every wallet with the same love and care that’s been part of my life since the very beginning.
At Corium Leather Works, every wallet tells a story—of where it came from, how it was made, and where it’s going. It’s a story of heritage, of passion, and of the belief that when something is made with love, it’s built to last. We don’t just make wallets; we create pieces that we hope will accompany you on your own journey, just as those first wallets did for my family and friends so many years ago.
Thank you for being a part of our story.
